For me usually the links that use [img] in the link or something to that effect show up on the forum. BUT, you have to make sure the forum allows for posting of pictures in that fashion. Many forums I have been to, with the exception of ign and doacentral, do not allow you to post pictures in that fashion, only links to the image. It’s a hefty investment ($50) but photoshop classroom in a book is a great resource. It has lots of color pictures and great practice lessons. I use it in my classroom for my photo students all the time. Instead of going through a mish mash of online sites that are very disconnected PS classroom in a book gives you a very regimented experience and eash lesson builds upon the last one.

The first thing you should do is put the nose on a separate layer. You can select the nose using the lasso tool, select edit>cut, and then create a new layer and paste it. You can use the pointer tool to change the size, and the various distort tools to achieve the effect you want. You may to use the blur tool to soften the edge between the nose and the rest of the face so it doesn’t look fake.

If it was a really poisonous spider, like a black widow or brown recluse, you would definitely know be now! It would be turning black if it was a br. Getting bit by a spider is creepy, but you should be just fine. You can put a cotton ball with medical alcohol on if it makes you feel any better.

It looks like a classic hobo spider bite. Hobo spiders are common in Canada and the United States.

You should go back to the doctor or, if you don’t want to go right in, at least call and tell him it’s spreading.
Unfortunately, once you go to a doctor and he treats you for what you have, no health care professional other than another doctor can give you further advice. And a person with no medical experience at all certainly can’t give you advice on the matter.
Health care workers with less experience and credentials than a doctor can’t overrule what the doctor says.
That’s one of the rules of the health care world.

Going back or calling is something I can tell you. If a spider bite starts spreading, you should call or revisit the doctor.

I have not had them In over a year now, they are a cute piercing & I think that they do not look good on one kind of person but anyone who is willing to embrace the piercing regardless of if you are a clean cut country girl or a scene kid piercings are a way of expressing yourself.

Now what I know about spider bites are:
-you have to be 16 with parental permission (this may be different depending on the state you live in)
-spider bites cause swelling when they are first done I would start with a 4/6ths bar that way your lip has room to heal nicely and the inside of the bar doesn’t dig into your lip.
-they are done extremely quick because by the time one is done the area is swollen so the person must work quick.
-when one is irritated it will cause them both to be I would not recommend touching them for the first 6weeks!
-do not use any mouth wash that contains alcohol your lip will become swollen if you do!
-when you take them out even after almost two years I still feel scar tissue on the inside but I have no sign of ever being pierced on the outside.

As for your mom? Mothers tend to be nice on birthdays so good luck.

Strictly speaking, bokeh is the pleasing out of focus part of your image obatined by shooting with a shallow depth of field (ie by using a wide aperture, long focal length or short camera-to-subject distance), in other words, you do it in camera.

What you’re talking about is artificially blurring the b/g of your images to try to fake bokeh.

I’m not familiar with Photoscape (I use Photoshop CS3) but you need a program that allows you to select part of an image & then apply a blur filter. Looking at the specs it doesn’t look like Photoscape can do that, although someone else may have more experience of this software.

Try to be in an area that your not having to change your exposure dramatically between shots. Like the person before said, try to keep the sun at your back. It helps if you have a helper to hold the horse and move them around the way you want. Horses are quite difficult to photograph because they have a mind of their own and usually don’t want to do what you do. I have a super old nikon that i use too, works great. Good luck!

Thre is a filter that does not allow too many links from certain sites in a short period. Tinypic is another. Just post the question without the link and quickly edit with the link as an added detail. The filter is to protect from spam and malware attacks on the site. It may also be a bad picture file. Try downloading to you hard drive first to see if you can open it.

Many of the commands used in Elements are the same as those used in the “big brother” Photoshop. For that reason you should be able to locate tutorials for Photoshop that you can adapt to your Elements version.

If you feel rich, you can always to into Borders or Barnes and Noble and spend $50 on a how-to book on the Elements version you own. You may find that there are three or four different books by different authors to choose from, so pick the one that makes the most sense to you and you think will be the easiest to understand.

You need to do a little studying of basic concepts. Photoshop in all its versions, as well as free Open Source apps like Gimp and Paint.net, and other for purchase apps like PaintshopPro are all RASTER programs. They work with pixels. Illustrator is a drawing program, but to be more correct, it is a VECTOR program. It thinks in lines, curves, points. Vectors don’t care about resolution because they are mathematically generated (you don’t have to worry about the math, the computer takes care of that.) A VECTOR is infinitely scalable: you could create a vector design at a small size, say 6″ by 6″ and then scale it up to 6 feet by 6 feet or even 60 feet by 60 feet and you would not lose quality. You can also scale it down: thus people will do graphic design work such as logos in a vector program like Illustrator (its main competitor, Freehand, was killed by Adobe because Adobe bought Macromedia, which produced Freehand) and test them to see if they look good at various sizes (you can end up with a font that’s too small for example, even if the overall design still works.)

Illustrator also deals with text better than Photoshop: once text is rasterized (converted to pixels) in Photoshop, which you have to do eventually for various reasons, it is no longer editable as text. You can do some manipulation, but it’s like manipulating anything else in the image. In Illustrator, text can remain text, it does not have to be rasterized. Instead, if for some reason you need to change it from actual text, you create outlines. Now the text has become an object, and can be manipulated like any other object in a vector based drawing.

Although you can “draw” in a raster program like Photoshop, your lines will be fuzzy, if you look close enough you will eventually see the little squares. If you try to enlarge it too much those squares, the pixels, become even more obvious. So in Photoshop or any other raster program you need to work pretty close to your actual size. The problem with working with large images is that your file size goes up. And when you learn to use layers (a must for using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements) you will find those files can get really big. In a vector program, you will not get that fuzziness because the lines are not constructed out of pixels.

So you should investigate both. Note that there is at least one free OpenSource vector program that you could try and that’s InkScape.

Photoshop Elements is great for editing photos and can also be use to create graphics. Your decision to purchase it may depend on what you want to use it for. For creating graphics, many people prefer Adobe Illustrator. I’ve use PE (various versions) extensively for retouching old family photos, and it was very easy for me to learn how to use it. If you do decide to get PE, I’d get the latest version that is recommended for your pc.

There are some things you can’t do directly to photos with Elements because it lacks the tools or menu commands of Photoshop but there are workarounds for just about everything. The better you know how to use Elements, the more you can do with it. Personally, I’m at the point with Elements where no Photoshop tutorial scares me anymore;-)

I would say the opposite. USE your flash for the best chance of stopping the blur. I would even say to keep the room lighting just adequate for your focus system to function. This way, the only real lighting source on the snake will be the burst of the flash and this will give you an EFFECTIVE shutter opening of well under 1/1000th of a second – the duration of timethat the flash is actually firing. If you use the room light, you will be using 1/30 or even slower, I am sure. This will not stop the action. Pre-focus at the point where you are going to have the snake strike by holding the shutter button down half-way and then anticipate the strike and push the button as SOON as the snake moves – if not before.

It would be a huge advantage for Obama to be elected. I read an article in the Readers Digest that told of how people all over the world view him. In almost every case, he won the polls abroad. I care what the rest of the world thinks about us, as Bush has ruined our reputation in the world.

America is a good country, but isn’t as great as it once was.

We have lost respect in the eyes of other nations. We are feared by many- which is very different than respect and frankly is a poor substitute for the lack of respect people have for us.

We do have some who take advantage of the welfare and public aid system. But not to the extent that certain conservatives make it out to be. Many of the people on food stamps today are soldiers and their families or people out of work due to the economy.

We are in a struggle because many of the younger baby-boomers (mostly early 40s) grew up not needing school to get a job. Now we face people arguing that some jobs demand college when only high school is needed. These adults need to keep the job they have becuase they most likely won’t find another one.

We have schools that are in chaos. We have the No Child Left Behind Act which many parents and teachers have said does more harm than good. It is a system that takes money from the places that need it most in an attempt to force them to ‘shape-up’.
We have kids who drop out everyday. Many because of the ridiulous rules that are unnessacary. Even worse, we have kids graduate who can’t read. Somehow they are passed along without one of the most basic skills.
The root of this may be that education seems unimportant. The thinking is incorrect but instead of targeting the root – children being taught to not value education- these people are shunned and castigated.

Our children have more stress than most other generations. Our juvinile justice system is a hypocracy. Until a person is in their 20s they are overly impulsive- neurologically, not by choice. If they commit a crime they are charged as adults. They are typically hurt in prison by older inmates and when they get out all they know is how to be a good criminal. But while they can make decisions to ruin their lives, they are given very little respect or privledges because they are only kids.

Our healthcare system is terrible. Our treatments are very good. But our citizens don’t get the treatments often enough. Other countries may not have our advanced medical procedures, but they ensure their people get whatever they have to offer. The bills are almost impossible to pay without insurance. Even with insurance it can be difficult. Lobbyists do well for their companies, but hurt the people who must entrust their lives to insuance companies and their policies.

We have many people who aren’t happy. They love this country but it simply doesn’t make them happy. When they explain what causes this displeasure they are called ‘unpatriotic’ or ‘traitors’.

We can never come up with enough money to fix our problems, but we have no issues paying for a war that costs trillions of dollars even when we can’t afford it.

We have debates on citizens rights. In a coutnry of freedom and equality people want to make certain groups of people more powerful than others, more entitled to things, and have more rights than others.
We have some people who think the government is a parentertal figure. They think we are like children who must be reigned in and told what is good for us. We would take away people’s freedoms because we think they should live and live healthier than they are now. This is why people so not take responcibilty.when this nation first began it was debated on whether or not the common people should vote- we decided they should. Why do we still question the common people’s ability to think for themselves?

The love for this country boarders on nationalism. Some love it so much they refuse to acknowledge its faults.
