William asks…

Where do I go to see pictures of spider bites?

My granddaughter got bit by a spider and we don’t know what kind. It has a 4 inch red red circle and in the middle is about a quarter size redder and in the center is a match stick size white spot. The whole area is hard.

Paul asks…

I want a new piercing. I have my tongue and spider bites… (Pictures included)?

Do you think it’s okay to have snake eyes and a tongue piercing, too. Or does that seem tacky?
Should I get:

- Conch
- Industrial
- Tragus
(bearing in mind I don’t have any ear lobe piercings, which makes these piercings look weird)

- Dermals on my neck
- Dermals on my wrist under my tattoo (saying R.I.P Zack)
- 2 Dermals on my cheek bone
- Any surface piercings…

- Anti-Eyebrow
- Cheek
- Nose
- Spider bites on opposite side of my lip

OOOORRRR. Do you think it’s okay for me to get snake eyes, even though I already have a normal tongue piercing?

Thanks,

P.S People who say piercings are stupid, take it somewhere else. Piercings are my pride and joy. I love them, and none of your stupid opinions will change that :D

Thanks in advance

Your Questions About Images Of The Past

Joseph asks…

Where can I find images of past magazine covers?

I’m looking for a certain issue of a magazine, but I only remember the cover image. Where can I find images of past magazine covers on the net???

mikey answers:

James asks…

How do i change the shutter speed in the pentax k 100d super dslr?

when i try to take images past 35 mm my camera is causing the images to blacken the image and only half of it comes out. is there a way to change the shutter speed

mikey answers:

Hi Drift King,

To change the shutter speed on the K100D Super, move the Exposure Mode Dial (on the top left of the camera) to “Tv”. Then, roll the command wheel (top-right of the back of the camera) back and forth until the desired shutter speed appears on the top LCD, such as “TV 125″.

You can also change the shutter speed in manual exposure mode, which allows you to change both the shutter speed and the aperture. On the Exposure Mode Dial, manual exposure is “M”.

However, I don’t know how changing the shutter speed when shooting “past 35mm” would help with half the image being dark. Is it possible that what is actually happening is that the lens’ hood is casting a shadow from the pop-up flash when you zoom past 35mm? Does the problem happen if you shoot in good light without the pop-up flash? If the problem is a shadow cast by the lens hood from the pop-up flash, I would suggest just taking off the hood off when you must shoot in those conditions (but do keep the hood for other conditions).

Good luck,

Greg

Laura asks…

Do you believe that traveling back to the past is possible?

I think I have read somewhere that there is copy of the past in the universe. I like to know how for this is true. The spirits above my head still have the stock of 50 years old bad odour and releases sometimes. So also they release good odour but not much. I doubt, if there is such things in unverse there may be any possibility of past images which might have restored by something living in universe. But what they are going to do with all these past? I am thinking.

mikey answers:

Of course time travel is real…it has been done for centuries.

Where can I find past satellite images of Florida?

So I can compare them to current images. It would be interesting to see how real estate has developed over the years since satellite imagery has become available.

Sandra asks…

How does heated air distort light?

For instance, heated waves comming off a hot road cause a shimmering or wavey effect to the image past it. Is the air acting as a lens? Can you use density of anything to warp or bend light / radiation?

mikey answers:

Refractive index is what you are looking for in a material. The higher the refractive index the the slower light waves propagate through it. Vacuum is set as 1.

I have attached a link that explain refractive index in details.

Your Questions About Photos

Sunday, January 1st, 2012

Michael asks…

Photos????

First off, how can I delete my photos in my yahoo album? I clicked on delete, but my photos are still there. Secondly, how do I delete the photo from my profile page? Every time I click delete it sends me to my photo album. I don’t know what to do from there. All I know is that I want everything deleted!!!

mikey answers:

Go to your 360 page. Click on “My Page”. Click on “Share Photos”. Click on “Edit” by the album you want to delete photos from. It will bring up a screen showing you all the pics in the album. Click in the lilttle box by each pic you want to delete. Then go to the bottom of the page and click on “Edit”. Then click on “Remove selected photos” (or whatever it says to that effect).

As for your profile pic, again, click on “My page” and then click on “Edit personal photos” above the pic. Then simply click on “Remove Photo” and pftt, it’s gone.

Hope this helps.

Nancy asks…

ok, i dont have a camra but i have a yahoo 360, how do i get photos on my 360??? help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mikey answers:

Robert asks…

How do I remove old photos from the old stickyback albums without ruining them?

I have inherited some very old photo albums, the ones that hold the photos in place with preglued pages and the photos are starting to turn brown. I want to transfer all the photos to an acid free photo album but can not get the photos off the backing board. How do I remove the photos without damaging them?

mikey answers:

Though I haven’t tried it myself, I’ve heard that you can use a piece of dental floss to stretch behind the photo and gently “saw” back and forth to help the pic separate a bit at a time.

Mandy asks…

How to move photos from a computer to a memory card?

In a previous question i had asked about recovering deleted photos from a memory card, now that i recovered those photos i need to move those photos back to the memory card. The photos are in the memory card the problem is that when i insert the memory card into the camera all of the photos say they can’t be displayed. These photos do not belong to me and if i can’t find a solution I will get into a very problematic situation. So can anyone help me with this i will truly appreciate it!

mikey answers:

Your question isn’t very clear! Presumably, you recovered the photos from the card into a folder on your computer? If so, the photos on the card are the ones you deleted, and the ones on the computer are viewable, yes?
In that case simply copy/paste the photos from the computer to the card, you may have to format the card first (right click it and click Format FAT). Make sure that the photos on the computer are all there and you are able to see them BEFORE formatting the card☺

Lizzie asks…

I have picajet, photo organizer. How can I transfer my photos to another pc while retaining the descriptions?

By this software one can add some written description to every photo. When I move photos to another computer I don’t want the description to be lost.
Do you propose any other freeware photo organizer so that moving the photos with their descriptions is simpler?

mikey answers:

I used this computer mover to move all files from my old pc to new laptop, the ONLY software that moves programs, files, and settings from your old PC to your new PC.

Simply install PCmover on both your old and new computers and go! You choose which programs, files and settings need to be moved, and when the transfer is complete your new computer will have the personality and functionality of your old PC.

Hope this helps.
