What exactly are spider bites? (The piercing)?
I’ve been looking for a picture of spider bites and venom bites. But I have yet to find them. That would be wonderful if I could get some pictures. And are they attractive on chicks?

I think I got bit on the foot by a spider but I’m not sure. I didn’t feel anything, but I got up and when I started to walk on my foot, it tingled and hurt a little bit…and then I saw the spider on the floor. haha And I’m known to be a bit of a hypochondriac so I’ve “convinced” myself that it was poisonous. (I’m sure it probably wasn’t, but I cant seem to convince myself that it isn’t. lol) There’s a little faint red spot and I can’t really tell, but it looks like there might be little fang marks. It doesn’t hurt or anything. It just stings the tiniest bit to the touch. I looked up spider bite pictures and I shouldn’t have done that, because what came up was like, people with their skin tore wide open and big bloody messes with the captions “after 9 days”, “after 3 days”, etc. lol
So I was just wondering if the bites don’t show up immediately, how long does it take for them to actually show up if they are spider bites?
That whole thing sounded crazy. Sorry about that…haha

If it was a really poisonous spider, like a black widow or brown recluse, you would definitely know be now! It would be turning black if it was a br. Getting bit by a spider is creepy, but you should be just fine. You can put a cotton ball with medical alcohol on if it makes you feel any better.

Is this a spider bite? (pictures included)?
I noticed it about 6 days ago but at first I thought it was just a mosquito bite…then it started swelling up and turning red within those next few days. A little dot in the middle started forming as well. I scratched it off and a scab formed. Then…the itch came in. God it started itching so badly!! Monday came and I couldn’t take it anymore. I decided to go to the Doc. It just didn’t seem normal. It got worse by the time I was in the doctor office. It seemed like two small bumps started forming around that one bump. I showed it to him and he gave me some cream and keflex. The swelling and tenderness is gone but the redness has spread and now instead of one bite…two others appeared next to it! It still itches…but way less than before. How long does it take for spider bites to heal with medication? And first and foremost…do you think this is a spider bite? The bump in the middle had little tiny small blisters around it…if that helps. I’ve checked my bed for bedbugs too. No bedbugs.
OH and those are not scales….it’s just the dried up cream. Also the little halo effect is also from the cream.

I already WENT to the doctor. I’ve already said that I have CHECKED for bed bugs.

It looks like a classic hobo spider bite. Hobo spiders are common in Canada and the United States.
You should go back to the doctor or, if you don’t want to go right in, at least call and tell him it’s spreading.
Unfortunately, once you go to a doctor and he treats you for what you have, no health care professional other than another doctor can give you further advice. And a person with no medical experience at all certainly can’t give you advice on the matter.
Health care workers with less experience and credentials than a doctor can’t overrule what the doctor says.
That’s one of the rules of the health care world.
Going back or calling is something I can tell you. If a spider bite starts spreading, you should call or revisit the doctor.

I have not had them In over a year now, they are a cute piercing & I think that they do not look good on one kind of person but anyone who is willing to embrace the piercing regardless of if you are a clean cut country girl or a scene kid piercings are a way of expressing yourself.
Now what I know about spider bites are:
-you have to be 16 with parental permission (this may be different depending on the state you live in)
-spider bites cause swelling when they are first done I would start with a 4/6ths bar that way your lip has room to heal nicely and the inside of the bar doesn’t dig into your lip.
-they are done extremely quick because by the time one is done the area is swollen so the person must work quick.
-when one is irritated it will cause them both to be I would not recommend touching them for the first 6weeks!
-do not use any mouth wash that contains alcohol your lip will become swollen if you do!
-when you take them out even after almost two years I still feel scar tissue on the inside but I have no sign of ever being pierced on the outside.
As for your mom? Mothers tend to be nice on birthdays so good luck.
